Here are the 5 tips I want to share with you to recruit people for your business
1. Understand that recruiting is a process not an event
To learn how to recruit isn’t something you learn over night. It has a lot to do with your self-confidence as well. Since you’re contacting people you don’t know. And in order to feel confident doing that, you have to be confident in yourself and believing that you can do that. Always bearing in mind why you’re doing it. You want to share your knowledge and help people to find the solutions to their problems. To do so you have to build a relationship first. That needs time, you patiently need to deliver solutions and support to people and this will allow them to get to know you and to trust you.
2. Do not prejudge people
Is it ever happen to you that you write down a list of family and friends name, near friends and less near friends. Writing down the names you thing by yourself: no xy is certainly not interest because of this and that …. the next one … no xy works so hard that he certainly has no time to do that …. next one …… no xy was never interested in health he/she drinks like a sponge ……. and so on! You may laugh, but isn’t that what you’re really thinking. But you know what, reality shows something else. The people you thought of they would not be interested, are exactly those who are interested in what you do or like the idea to do something beside their job to make a bit more money. So now you know never prejudge people, because you don’t know where they stand in their life and what’s going on right now in their life.
3. Remember it’s a numbers game
This is what you have to figure out, what are your numbers. Meaning say you want to recruit such much people per week. What you have to do is to test and tweak until you get to know your numbers. For example: you want to recruit 5 people within a week and you know because you’ve tested it that in order to do so you have to make 100 connections. That means if you decide to recruit 10 people per week you know now that you have to connect with 200 people. Hope this makes sense. Knowing your numbers. If you do that consistently you can’t avoid being successful.
4. The fortune is in the immediate follow up
There is not sense in making connections, talking to people, presenting them your product, if you don’t have a system set up to follow up on them. That is like you have a store, people walk in and out without buying anything. Now you stand in your store without the ability to ever reach that client anymore because you don’t know the name, you don’t have an address, you don’t have an email of that person … so the potential client is gone forever. That’s not the case if you set up your email follow up before you’re doing all the work, so that you really can bind the client to you wherever or not they bought something from you. This way you can keep the connection to this potential eventual future client and sending your content, offers, thoughts on a regular basis. Remember set up your email follow up first!
5. Work with the willing
You connect with people and you develop a feeling if people are ready to join your business or not. The biggest mistake you can do is to try to convince people. Please know that you’re only loosing your time and annoying them so much that you could even loose the tiniest chance to get them on board. Not to mention that for you it’s only frustrating, depressing and sucking your energy out of your body. Just acknowledge that they’re not ready to join you, maybe not yet, maybe never, but you just go ahead. There’re masses of people who wants to know about what you do, they need to hear you, need your help and support. Concentrate your energy on these people.
